You might be better of with a private sale via ebay or similar.
Refurbs as in second hand via dealers can sometimes have issues.0 -
Personally id buy this ~

The 360 would look awesome through its hdmi, though Corrie will still look and sound as miserable as it always does:idea:0 -

I wouldnt touch their tvs with a bargepole!
quote "
WHAT DOES UNBRANDED MEAN ? = in this instance it means that the tv will have no badge or logo on the front or anywhere visable on the unit ,only indication of a brand is on the remote control unit this will be supplied to as if you had bought direct from the importer as you may be aware most screens now all come out of the same far eastern manufacturing plants and are then badged as per manufacturer orders ie sony jvc samsung etc ."
If all tvs were the same then theyd all last the same amount of time, sound the same, look the same, perform the same, use the same software etc
That is absolute BS. Its true that a lot of tvs do use SOME of the same components (Same as anything, even state of the art aircraft have some basic linkages etc in them). But to claim that the tv performs the same as a Samsung stinks of utter BS to me:idea:0 -
What about B & O tvs? Do they make their own or do they buy a chassis in and rebadge it? Presumably they dont produce their own tubes?0

How on earth do you "refurbish" a plasma screen?0
-
For example; If an item is returned to Argos under it's 16 day guarantee, it cannot then be re-sold as new.
So it will be checked, cleaned and sold via their clearance website.0 -

Same as all electonic devices - if it it a dirty case, then clean it. If the duff part is quite cheaper then a new one, then replace the part. If the case is dropped, then keep the electronics and replace the case.
Unless there is a manufacturing fault, the units that are not cost effective repairs are cannabalized and used as parts.
Once, decades ago working for a business similar to Curries, you the manufacturer/agent/franchisee get the shop soiled item returned, test it, remove the s/n and replace it with a new one, clean the case, supply new manuals/software/plastic and paper work. Now put all of this into a new polystyrene box, so the store can sell it again it cost the store around 15%-20% of a new one.
Now where do they sell those ex-rental hotel room ones, that 20 years ago (pre-flat screen) sold in hundreds for dirt cheap?0 -
