Made a load this morning and sooo easy.

Had to cook for an extra 3 minutes to ensure suger disolved.

cant tell you what it was like though as my teenage sons who apparently have left home but manage to arrive at meal times every day, visited and eat the lot before me and hubby could have a taste.

Will wait for them to go then may make another batch so we can try it.
  • thanks
think my condensed milk was about 367g
  • That sounds really nice. I love fudge but never been successful cooking it on the hob. It tends to burn. I will get the stuff tomorrow for a test session. by the way home Bargains have condensed milk I think it was 87p

  • Sounds really yummy - must give this a try. Thankyou!!
  • Hm, I have half a bottle of rum left, reckon rum and raisin fudge would be nice? If so, how much rum do you reckon I should put in? Thanks for posting this recipe it's great, would be good for Christmas food hampers. Although I just remembered we don't have a microwave in our new house, but I suppose I could go and trash my mam's kitchen for a while....
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

  • Sorry, I wasn't impressed with it. Followed the instructions closely, extended the cooking time a little because out microwave was a lower wattage, and it LOOKED right. But I didn't like the end product. Was a funny flavour - tasted of just condensed milk! Maybe it's just me being picky!
