    Well done Nina, your correspondence to the DVLA is firm but very fair.

    For what it's worth I think it's an absolute disgrace that you're expected to pay £19. There's three links in this chain: the vehicle's keeper, the Royal Mail and the DVLA. Given the large amount of post the Royal Mail loses and the widespread incompetence within the DVLA, the chances of it being the fault of the vehicle's keeper are hardly 100%. Yet you're expected to pay the £19, no matter what. Ha! It stinks.

    Funny how the DVLA never pay the motorist a "fee" even when they're proven to be at fault.

    Excellent letter, hope it gets you a result. I like writing stinking letters, it's great fun. Sadly I often give up when the company involved starts getting repetitive in their replies (dark-coloured equines *cough*) ... :-)
