    Most FP joint policies cover the first named for SIckness, accident and redundancy and both for life. I note also you say that you went to claim but they said you could not cause you were contracting. From this statement, it sounds like you were first named on the policy as they would have said just that were not covered at all for sickness. Seems promising but you do need to get moving.
  • Make sure you find out from th Cab about your EX's duty in all this ,it seems mad he can just leg it scot free!!

I am definitely the first one on the policy and just having a quick look, he was covered for life (God I must be really stupid, because I honestly did not know).
