update on Barclays reclaim

Hi everybody,

I posted a little while ago regarding my barclays reclaim. I just thought I would update and let whoever wants to know know. I put my claim in for all charges from 2003 as I didnt have any fines in 02 and 01. Barclays told me they were going to split my complaint into 2. One regarding from 03 till Aug 08....and another from August 08 till present. This was due to the reserve usage fines kicking in from 08 and them not being apart of the test case.

I recieved a letter from Barclays saying they were going to deal with my reserve usage complaint now and that I would hear within 8 weeks what their decision was regarding paying me back. I rang Barclays this morning and they are now saying both my complaints will not be heard until the end of the test case and that the rules have changed in the last couple of days regarding reserve usage fees. Cannot believe it!

So I have now cancelled the reserve usage fee option (didnt know I could do that until browsing around here) and fingers crossed for after the case.

Ask them to put that in writing.
Do you have priority debt arrears(mortgage.rent, council tax, utilities)?

Hey,

They are sending the conversation we had in writing as we speak. As for the mortgage arrears etc, I have none as I am in University and live at home with parents. I have no debts as I have regular student loans etc.

I guess I will just have to wait it out and hope a result comes up in the court case soon!
