NatWest First Reserve Savings Cashback

In autumn 08 Natwest was offering £50 cashback to anyone who made a monthly standing order for £100 into their First Reserve Account, for 12 months. As far as I could see, there was no mention of the money having to remain in the account. Indde it was mentioned as a 'best buy' on MSE
Has anyone recieved the cashback, without having left £1200 in the account? Has anyone enquired about the cashback, and been refused 'because the money did not remain saved'?

It appears some people got theirs and some did not. Money did not have to stay in the account. When I got my £50 I had about £30 in my account.

Might be an idea to get onto natwest.

  • I would like to chase NatWest on providing me with the £50 cashback. They don't seem to have a way to contact them online through the e-savings account. Does anyone happen to have an email address for their customer services department? (I'm living overseas now so I would rather not have to phone them).
    Many thanks!

Even if they did have an e-mail address, they wouldn't talk to you about your account through e-mail (it's not secure). NatWest don't seem to have a secure messaging facility. You'll have to either phone them or write to them by post.
