brilliant tool for buyers. do like the number of watchers bit.

must be quite scary for the sellers though. i wonder if there are any tools that you could use to check what stuff one has bought in the past. i guess its just a matter of time cos all the info is on ebay but at present its too tedious to look up. so probably in the future i could look up someones history of what they had bought and sold on ebay just as easily as i have checked the seller out on goofbay today.

makes me feel sort of violated. anyone else feel the same?
i mean one could put a lot together from someone's buying history couldn't they? such as do they have children, are they rich depending on the amount spent in last 30days for example etc
the info available is not just for people you personally have selected to know that info but its info available to any old creep who uses goofbay or similar tools. thats really quite scary...me thinks.

...also noticed that my thanks buttons had gone. MSE used to remember me each visit, I now have to log in every time and then the thanks buttons is avalable.
    I love this site
  • How does it do it?

Using the Ebay developer API you can pull out all kinds of info

just as I feared they must have added this recently to goofbay- view users 30 day bid list. i checked mine and everything I bought recently with exact prices paid is there. I buy a lot of stuff on ebay. and am not sure I like the fact someone would be able to see exactly what i've bought.

People can see what u purchased on ebay without this tool.

All you need to do is search your name in ebay and do the purchased in last month or so and it lists everything you had bid on.

Great tool thanks for the site.

German privacy laws prevent ebay from showing what German ebay users have bid on.
Which seems strange because I thought all these types of laws were supposed to be the same across the EU these days.
Anyone on here exploit this and use a German ebay account ?
Would be very handy for me for certain things I do.
Tried it but couldn't get registered I think they use the equivalent of the electoral register to confirm every new ebay registration.
  • That's really handy. Most of the info is available on eBay anyway, but it's nice to be able to access it all quickly from the same page, and also find out how many watchers particular items have.
