My only worry (actually it wouldn't be my only one, just the main one) would be waiting for the £100 discount for 12 months from what appears to be a very small company.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
In my opinion, unfortunately, small, new companies with no track record seldom live up to what they offer when they start, I just wondered if other people felt any differently or had any inside info on these guys.
I think my gut instinct is to steer clear and stick with money grabbing, profiteering, well known BG!:rotfl:0 -
Paying hundreds of pounds weeks in advance every month to an unregulated and unprotected cash card account carries few risks, of course.0

You're still sore that I gave you a real showing up with your Scottish power 'claims', aren't you? Shall I resurrect the thread and ask AGAIN for an apology for falsely labelling me a liar when it was you who was lying all along? Seriously, get over it, KY, you showed yourself up, nowt new there, nobody died and it's only the internet after all.Call me Carmine....

<sigh> (Sorry about this, Allan.)
I think you have the outcome slightly addled. Steve Jobs has competition for his distortion field.0 -
I see Ovo as wiping the floor with First Utility for electric only
Simple maths
Standing charges
Ovo - £63.00
FU - £0.31 per day = £115
Energy costs
Ovo - 7.98p per unit
FU - 7.791p per unit
FU £20 annual discount for supplying meter readings
Thus, the maths is (115-20-63)/(7.98-7.791)*100=16,913
So, you'd have to use 16,913 units of electric per annum to break even on FU's prices !
Go dual fuel and take the 12.5% discount which you are promised, then you would only have to use 2,752 units of electric to make FU viable on electricity (115-20-63)/(7.98-(7.791-12.5%))*100=2,752. Whether it compares well on gas I don't know as I do not have gas.0 -

<double sigh> (Genuinely sorry about this, Allan)
If you think you have more legs to stand on than Douglas Bader on this one, maybe you should re-visit the scene of your embarrassment and put forward your case (you seemed mighty happy to let it disappear into the ether). The thread is here (be my guest),
