Hi
I've looked at previous threads but my knowledge is too basic for them to be of help. A mate helped me and thought it should be sorted but its not. The wireless network is there and shows connected but i cannot get online. I got a safecom router and am just trying to use my laptop. Help massively appreciated. I have tried the changing lan settings to automatically detect (this was about the only thing i could follow from previous threads). I think if I can get to the page where it asks for my isp log in and password I might be able to sort it as previously i think i may have used the wrong password but i cannot seem to get to that stage now. Sorry if this info is vague/irelevant.

I'm not an expert on this so probably can't be of much help. I think if you want the techies on here to advise you will need to give a little more information. Examples of this would be your operating system, 98, ME, Xp. The model number of your safecom router. Your ISP. What machines you are trying to connect wirelessly. Is encryption set up? Hope this helps.Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.

Thanks for the help. I think I was using the wrong user name! If it works now am I in the clear? God i hope so!
Thanks againAnd if, you know, your history...0 -
Could be your password or user name. Sounds as if it would be best for you to run the set-up again making sure that you have all the correct router settings as supplied by your ISP. There is a madasafish csa who posts on the internet board, you could ask there for details and I think she is happy to get pm's. I've got a bt wireless router but I had to connect via usb or ethernet in the first instance and then connect wirelessly.Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.
