Undelivered goods

My friend purchased a mattress on the internet (from a company website, though I cannot remember the name). the payment has gone out of her account, but the mattress has not been delivered. She has tried ringing the company, which she has found to be registered to Mailboxes Etc. in Leeds, and it is either permanently engaged or just rings out.

What can she do?

do they ahve an email address? how long since she ordered it? how did she pay (credit card/ debit card/ paypal etc)

Did she receive confirmation of the purchse via e-mail with any details on?

If she has on line banking get her to check and see who it says the payment has gone to.

Also see if she can find the web site.

Thanks for your cooments/questions guys! My friend finally managed to get hold of someone at the company today, and they said they've been engaged as they've been swamped with orders...

Their mattress should arrive next week. I hope so!

They bought it from a legit looking website with e-mail addresses and got confirmation, so here's hoping that this in ONE company ith lots of business in the recession, and they're not spinning her a line.
