Can I claim this back?

Hi all,

Just been going through my halifax credit card statements and 2 things appear every month since 2003. Repayment cover and Coverplan. The repayment cover changes each month depending on how much i have spent and the coverplan is always a charge of £6.99.

I have always been a contractor and never a permenant employee so I assume I wouldn't have been protected if anything went wrong.

If I can claim this back is there a excel template I can put everything into etc?

Kelly x

Hi Kelly, I'm sure Melorablack will be able to clarify some of this for you in regards of what the payment of £6.99 was a month.

Do you have the Agreement (CCA) for this at all?

The agreement should show the the information in regards of PPI etc.

Write to them with just a simple letter and enclose the £1 postal order or cheque payment, and tell them you look forward to receiving the agreement by 12 days of request this.
On your statements you should find your account number, remember to write that as well.
Post by recorded delivery for your proof of posting.

For information with templates, a checklist of mis selling reasons you will find on this link here below, but if you require help or further help in this then please post up.;)

I'm actually not sure what "Coverplan" is, I have never seen that before. It is not PPI because that is what the repayment cover is for and they only sold 1 type of PPI with credit cards. It must be some other form of insurance.

Let me know what it is when you find out won't you ;)

    Wonder what that is then?

Possibly but it is unusual for it to be £6.99 a month, when it is only about £30 a year normally

HBOS mainly use Halifax Insurance Ireland Ltd and St Andrews Group as insurers so it may be with a different insurance provider...albeit a very rare one!

    I'm stumped!
