    There's a few things:
    Dell or Dell home Business?

Did you use any codes (there's a Dell 5% one doing the rounds)

What type of browser did you use?

If you go through the process of querying a transaction (check the date and time on the confirmation email you got from Dell first) you can normally see the date & time on Quidco's own system, it wouldn't be the first time I've looked to query an item tracking and seen all 4 attempts/visits to a merchant site when I hovered with my finger over the "buy it now " button.

Although the Quidco site says it may be up to 19 days before it tracks, you can still see if it has actually tracked anyway (take a screen grab)

Recently there were a lot of buyers for a Samsung DVD player on Dell, it didn't appear to track even after a week, but the orders had actually been cancelled.

This is one of my own theories, it doesn't track immediately as the supplier has yet to charge against your card.

Any more info about your purchase, how long since you actually made it may be helpful as well.

Finally, I have made aquite a few purchases through Dell, 3 laptops and 2 desktops, plus other printers and webcams, all tracked successfully, although one was outstanding for over a month, but was successfully paid after a ticket had been raised.

  • Thanks x

    I used internet Explorer

I can see on my Quidco account I used it at 7:15pm ( by doing what you suggested :) ) to go through to Dell and my order was placed around 8:15pm ( email confirmation) but there is nothing to say it has tracked on my account

It was Dell Home and no codes were used

    Order was placed on 05/10/09
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

Thanks for that AM, has the laptop been dispatched yet and has your CC been charged?

Don't forget theres a possibility that it may not appear as "tracked" until the transaction is complete. They do also say allow up to 19 days to track...lol...so it may appear today or tomorrow.

In the first instance if it hasn't appeared as tracked (assuming you've got it and your CC was charged) raise a ticket, I normally raise a general one , not using the missing transaction route, simply to draw it to Quidco's attention, then, if there's anything unusual they may draw it to your attention at that stage or mention something else...bottom line is you've made contact and not waited 6 months before querying.

No one is saying Quidco are perfect (they do get it right in most cases) but other posters have suggested taking "screen grabs" of your query progress, that way at least you know what you are querying.

If you get an answer to a query you don't understand, ask the question again. Stock answers are used when it may be a common problem but again ask if you don't understand. They will possibly advise to raise a missing transaction query, so when you do you will now have a paper trail.

I have had a missing transaction with Dell, but everything got sorted in the end.

  • Rutha don't let them get to you you know the truth and that's the main thing let certain people on here believe what they want. They'll soon be on here crying when karma turns right around and bites them.
Quidco are liars fact they don't or never have held onto anyones money???? really so where's my £65 virgin media money that was recieved by them then they mysteriously suspended my account. Oh they also suspended my account when i challenged them about more th>n so let the quidco fans believe what they want. I doubt Quidco will be around much longer.
Rutha do what many others have done join tcb they are much better than Quidco.
Now i wait for jules to try and silence me again lol.

I don't think she would know the truth if it jumped up and bit her in the @r5e!!
You'll be the one person she did try to help that was already banned from quidco then? :rotfl:
They wouldn't suspend your account for challenging them about a payment, to even sugest so is ridiculous, you must have been up to no good for them to do that

Quite patronising that, eh? I;m sure love_my doesn't need nor want hand outs from complete strangers - she posted her thread on the board that many others in the same position visit for help, advice and support - not on this board for some jumped up idiot to offer her a tenner and lets face it if her debts could be solved by receiving a tenner she would hardly be losing sleep over it (sorry no offence love_my:o)

Oh and thoughful isn't a word I would have used to describe Ruthha's offer of a tenner!

love_my_2_boys Help with old debt please!!!!
Hi hoping someone can give me some sound advice

A number of years ago I took out a credit card with Barclays, got myself into a mess financialy with this card and other debts. I had made an arangement to pay all of them off which I have bar this one, had requested a payment card/book which never appeared, they didn't get back in touch with me until last year (about 4 years after defaulting)
I made one payment and again never heard anything until recently, Credit Solutions are now on my case about paying it off, I have recently moved in with my partner they managed to get my new address somehow, and he doesn't know about this, he is dead against credit of any kind and would be very angry with me about it.
So, I'm not working at the moment, the house and cars etc are soley in my partners name and I can't claim benefits due to his income, so basicly I have no money of my own with wich to pay or any assets. What do I do???
Tossed and turned all night thinking about it, I actualy feel sick constantly. As I live with my partner can they make him pay on my behalf, will they try and contact him?
Any advice on what to do would be gratefully received.
I know I'm stupid for getting myself in this situation in the first place...

thanks for bringing that up Ruthha/Timidtoad
Just want to let everyone know that this debt was actually statute barred and after sending off a nice template letter someone on the debtfree wannabe board gave me I have been informed by Barclaycard that they cannot and will not be persuing this any further.(that board is full of great people with great advice and they don't have a hero complex like some folk on here)
Pitty you couldn't win in your own argument so you try to throw mud at others to distract from your own misdoings.
so, I am not in need of your £10 might I suggest you use it and put it towards a course of EST (that's electric shock therapy Ruthha)
And can I just ask that you not PM me anymore with your pathetic comments, it's very boring.
Just shows how low you are prepared to go to try and save face by attempting to make others look bad, I would say the vast majority of people on that board have had financial problems at one time or another, you disrespecting all of them aint gonna go down well when I post your comments on that board!!!)

Any advice I would offer love_my would be done on the appropriate board! And I certainly wouldn't insult somebody by offering them a tenner.

You my friend, are a 1st class idiot.
