Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong place but didn't know quite where to put it.
We have bought a new Wii, have had the old one 2 1/2 years and is wearing out
.
Trying to transfer all the data from the old to the new, mainly all the Wii Fit history. (Have managed to transfer all Miis via controller and game data via SD card).
Have gone via Wii settings, data management, Wii Channel etc copied from original console to SD card then put SD card into new console gone into it the same way, at first it says copying then says 'unable to transfer data to this console'.
I have rung Nintendo and although the guy was very nice and tried to be helpful it didn't strike me that he really knew what he was talking about, he just said oh yes some of the data cant be transferred sorry.
Well, what I want to know is if it lets me copy it to SD card but then says can't copy to this console then it should be able to transfer it but for some reason it can't
Does anyone know anything about this and can help me at all please!
Thanks

The guy at Nintendo is correct. Some data just can't be copied over. There are some games that don't let you back up your saved data (Mario Kart is one that stands out)
I may be wrong, but even though it might save some data to the sd card, you are trying to add it to a new machine, so they could be a possible copyright issue with that.0 -
I'll have your old one if it's going spareIt's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0
