Can i have your luck for the rest of the year littledutchboy

Have gone through all the 25 (currently) pages of the competition forum and entered all the ones for which the day i look is the closing date.

Hopefully I will win something this month

If i don't need it then someone will want it as a Christmas present

littledutchboy - you need to give me some pointers! I read you enter about 6 comps a day and you have an impressive list of wins there, i am currently entering around 200 - 300 a WEEK and have not won anything since APRIL now :rolleyes: :eek: .

Just a couple of questions - do you tick the 'i dont wanna receive information from you' boxes or not? Also, do you enter the 'closing soon' comps or the 'newly added?'

I suppose i am one of the lucky few to have won from myoffers, tickbox and 72point (now onepoll) but comps entered equalling prizes isnt going my way at the mo!

Actually, now I work it out it's probably more than 6 a day - I was forgetting my occasional bursts of postcard activity, and the end of month scramble (when most comps close). To answer your questions...

I generally tick the box to say I will receive information. There's been some debate elsewhere as to whether this makes a difference - as a marketing person who has run a few promotions, I say it often does. The only exception is where they speicfy SMS as I can deal with email spam but hate random texts.

I use the "closing soon" section on Loquax but I do it a couple of days in advance as some comps close during the afternoon of the last day (use the "Old A to Z" link on the homepage and then click on the date you want).

Mind you, if you've won on myoffers then you're already a legend. I've never come across anyone who won anything on there other than a phoney timeshare holiday...:beer:

Thanks for that........i suppose that is what i am guilty of - not ticking the info boxes and its been debated for ages wether it matters or not, thinking about it of course it does!

Just to add, the myoffers prize was a £500 cheque to 'spruce up my garden'(!) and was my first ever win!

Junior's just won herself a bottle of JLo new Eau de Parfum as well which is a pretty decent prize. I, on the other hand, won a sachet of waterproofing liquid...

I'm the same as you skap - I never tick the boxes as I don't want house full of junk mail. Never won anything either though - apart from the my offers CON.... it went straight in the bin. I'll start ticking and see if I have better luck.
