    Hiya

Yes the default expires 6 years from date of default whether paid or not, or in dispute or not. If you want to pursue illegal defaults then try this thread (lol sorry, so many isn't there)...

Did start another thread, but have requested a £2 report from Equifax & Experian.

Experian have asked for supporting documents, but i've had a credit report from them in the past, no documents required.

All the personal info is the same, apart from I now have a store card, could that be the reason?

Not a valid reason to request additional info but under DPA they have to make sure they are speaking to the right person etc and they are well within their rights to demand ID, if they deem it necessary.

I'd send it off to them, send a copy....

It has been taken off experion and equifax. How are companies allowed to keep all this data on you and you can;t even speak to them. Who do i complain to higher???

Who can I complain to about a credit reference agency & O2?

I have a default on my file, it's almost 6 years old - 1 month away, but we're in the throws of applying for a mortgage.

That aside it's infuriating, O2 can't find any information about it and believe it was sold on (it's on for £53) and Exquifax are refusing to do anything unless O2 tell them to.

They keep sending emails back and force saying one has contacted the other for more information and I'm sick of it. I must be able to rise this to a higher authority?

Patience is all is required here you may just have to wait for the default to drop off automatically as the information recorded is a true reflection on how the account was managed. Unless your saying the information was registered incorrectly?

The reason why we believe it was sold on, I've settled a debt to Lowell Portfolio for the same amount, although they had very little information about it and had to 'ask a team in their company to re-open the file' so I could pay it.

We think it's a duplicate of that one.
