I wasnt aware of that and tbh it surprises me as even renewals can take 12 weeks which could mean present claim ending before new one starts0

The social worker who i saw on Friday told me that after 5 years on dla they automatically put you on indefinite, is this true?Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0

This is true - the guidelines were changed some years ago when the terminology changed from a "life-time award" to an "Indefinite period award". It's very stressful for those who thought they had finally got things sorted and sometimes end up with the whole lot being taken away. This recently happened to a friend of mine who had taken a mortgage out to pay for alterations to the house. She has lost both the care and mobility components and will probably have to sell the house that has been adapted for her. Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. She's hoping to, but there again she feels like she can't face the stress of another tribunal.
The GP they sent wasn't very nice either and made her take him on a tour of her house and then got her to undress . I've told her this is not on and to make a complaint, as far too many of these doctors go way beyond their remit and instead of implementing the law - they insist on interpreting it .Some people hear voices, some see invisible people.
