Fridge freezer from comet

I recently purchased a fridge freezer from comet and paid by vouchers. After 3 weeks there was a fault with the product and they had to scrap the item. I then went and chose another fridge freezer this time a differnt make and model, again after a week there was a problem with the fridge freezer and and engineer came out and told us it had to be scraped.

I have no faith in Comet so called them and asked if i could have my money back they informed me as i paid by vouches i could only have a credit note. I do not wish to have a credit note as i do'nt ant to purchase anything from comet.

My question is can i have a cash refund?

what makes of fridge freezer was it that u were so unlocky both times.

Did u allow the regigerant to setttle after transportation and before turning it on at the mains

As the other post says, your refund will be in the same method.

You could always sell the vouchers on ebay or the classifieds at a small discount?

Very strange to be unlucky with 2 different makes of fridge freezer...
Comet only supply the goods they don't make them so I don't understand how you could hold them responsible for the faults?
It sounds like they acted quickly and effectively in responding to your complaints by replacing and they have offered you a refund via the method you paid, a more cynical person may think the appliances had some help in becoming faulty as you thought you might get a cash refund indtead..
