Typing in date in Word 2003

Having sorted the above date problem in Word 2003 (see previous post), I now have the same problem with Word 2007 but cannot, for the life of me, see where to do the following as the menu has changed considerably:
"On the insert menu, select Auto Text sub menu, and click on AutoText. Click on the AutoText Tab on the dialog, and untick the "Show AutoComplete Suggestions" check box. Exit dialog by click on OK."
I do not want my date to come up as 3 August 2007-08-04 every time I hit the enter/return key.
