Parking for the o2 arena

My friend is off to the O2 arena at the weekend to see cliff richard. She is travelling from Dorset and would like to know what is the cheapest carparking in the area. i.e. either close to the O2 arena or somewhere close and catch a bus or tube etc
Thanks Tim

  • Park at North Greenwich tube station, which is right next to the O2. Costs about £3 all day on a weekend. Don't pay the extortionate prices at the O2!!

Thats Great , Just what she wanted.
  • I am also going but was thinking of using public transport via Waterloo. Has anyone been to a concert at the O2 just wondered what the situation is once concert is over with regards getting underground from North Greenwich.

Are there usually spaces?, people say to park at Stanmore and get train to Wembley, but the station car park is generally full !
  • I've never had a problem, but I tend to get there a little bit before (6-ish) to have a meal.

ditto - never had a problem finding a space when ever i go there!
  • I asked this same question last year and was told about the tube station car park, information spot on, bypass all the other car parks you wont regret it.

We got the boat (clipper I think it was) from Waterloo to the O2. It was great and if I were using public transport I'd try it again. I can't comment what the service was like from the O2 to Waterloo though as we drove home. Never used the tube either.
