A call from Lloyds

To cut a long story short, i was given a overdraft which i never asked for (sound familiar), Which they added charges too & the bill is currently £720.
Tonight i got a call from a "in house" solicitor from Lloyds asking me to pay £50 per month, i declined this & they suggested £20.
She stated the other option was to pay £360 & they would waive the rest, balance zero.....sounds good eh?
I asked for this in writing, not possible was the reply, a full settlement figure was not available?????
When i asked how they could put in writing a agreement to pay £20 pm, but not a 50/50 deal (as they called it) settlement figure etc was the reply.
The suspicious nature wants it in writing from them as we all would. She went off elsewhere, & came back saying they were waiving £150 charges if i payed £360 or i can still do the £20 per month. Big change there from the supposed zero balance:mad:.
After that i became doubly suspicious of this, seem s they are trying to settle a potential claim of £720 against themselves on the cheap ie £150.
Advice appreciated
