Hi
I thought that I often moan when I have the need, so I now have the chance to praise, so here goes....
I bought a pair of boots from Russell & Bromely last November, they were the most expensive boots I've EVER bought, but I loved them, they were comfy. When they needed to be re-healed I just took them to a national shoe repair shop - in fact I've had them re-healed 3 times.
Anyway, last week, the heel tip 'fell' off.... it wasnt broken but clearly the pin holding the heel tip on was too small for the hole in the heel (if that makes sense...)
So, I thought, to be ready for winter, I would take them back to R & B and pay to have thier 'experts' fix them, and at least I would get another season out of them.
As well as the heel, the stitching at the top of the boot had loosened (in fact that happened months ago, but I just dealt with it). So I explained the situation re the heel, and also asked if they could arrange to have the top re-stitched. They looked at the boots, told me I should have got them re-heeled with them.... but that the stitching was something that they wouldnt expect..... They replaced my boots!!!!! I have a brand new pair of boots for the winter.
I was speechless and very very impressed.
So thank you to the ladies at R & B in Manchester City Centre. You are angels and deserve my praise.
