I've not received a reply after 14 days have passed: what now?

I submitted a claim to be repaid almost £1200 in bank charges, with hardship as I'm a full-time student.
It was over 14 days ago and I've not received a response. Just as I didn't receive my earliest bank statements I asked for (I have from July 01, so that's no problem).
Is it worth waiting any longer? If not, which step would next be the best one to take?

HSBC. I dropped it into my home branch where, as I understand it, I would have addressed it to anyway. I should have got a receipt, but on this occasion I decided to trust the woman I handed it to.0 -
Send the next letter but first can I ask if you are claiming financial hardship?HSBC. I dropped it into my home branch where, as I understand it, I would have addressed it to anyway. I should have got a receipt, but on this occasion I decided to trust the woman I handed it to.
I'll give you a better address to send it to once I know the answer to the above0
