Stansted Airport Parking ripoff

I'm losing the will to live after every recommended web site tells me it costs £75-£100+ for 10 days parking at Stansted in July. Are there no cheaper operators around?

Yes Stansted parking prices are rediculous.
There are some less conventional ideas to get round the prices in this thread.

thanks, I'll think about the station car park (but what if it's full and your flight's about to go) or street parking, but for peace of mind maybe you just have to pay the absurd rip off prices!0

If you are going to get rattled for £75-£100 for 10 days you might as well book a hotel with parking
The Bushel and Sack hotel
Great Dunmow is around 10KM from Stansted airport.
In July
Budget doubles with parking and airport transfers £60
Budget family rm (sleeps 4 +child ) with parking and transfers £65
Standard rooms a bit more but still great value when comparing it to minimum £7 upwards per day at the likes of Pink Elephant0 -
I was quoted £125 for 14 days Stansted parking in July/August. I've just booked up one way car hire with Europcar Car Rental. If you tell them you're flying with EasyJet you get £10 off, the quote for each one way car hire journey is £44.50 for a Golf sized car - so that's £89 in total. Their office in Stansted is open 24 hours. Their 'non 0870 number' is 0113 237 6855.0

with the 50% off rail promotion going on, may as well use that instead of parking. I was going to drive, but once that sale came up I changed my mind!!0
