MP3 help required

Before my sister and my nephew come to blows I wondered if you can help men out.
Nephew got samsung mp3 for christmas. It came with 2 months free trial for napster. Only this only lets him download songs to his pc, when he tries to transfer to mp3 napster wants to charge for it.
Now I've got Ares and can download/share files to my hearts content. These can then be imported into real player or windows whichever i want. Would these be able to be transferred to the mp3 witout any charges being involved? Also would he get all the song info on the mp3?
Currently when he transfers cd's to mp3 player he doesn't get song info either. (transfers through personal cd player i believe) If he transferred through the pc would he get the song info display?
Any help appreciated, as it's only being used as a radio at the mo.
