Good news. I have an interview at 10 am tomorrow and if successfull I'll be starting on Thursday. But everyday I'll have to travel for at least an hour each way and it will cost me £30 a week for a ticket.it isn't great but at least I'll have some money coming in.

    Hi there

Just wanted to say, if you're in Maidstone (and I'm not sure of the type of work you do) how about getting onto the Kent County Council website to look for jobs, or, there will probably be an agency locally that is the exclusive agency for the council. Local government do tend to have fixed/short term clerical work which might help to tide you over. Also, I don't know if the trains are any better than when I lived down that way but the Universities in Canterbury (or Uni of Greenwich in the Medway towns) might be able to generate some fixed term clerical work. Again, they will have agencies who handle recruitment for them for temporary staff. I'm not sure who the big industries are in Maidstone to be honest - I only went there once and that was for a hen do!

Good luck with your interview and keep us posted.

Good luck at the interview today. Let us know how you get on.

Well done on getting on the Egg at 0%, and your highest APR cards should be transferred onto there. You'll save loads on interest looking at those rates!

If you get chance today, pop up your SOA. I know, I'm nagging lol!

    Thanx guys.
I didn't go to the interview today.I had health problem and spent most of the night in A&E and that had to go to see doctor first thing in the morning. But hopefully I'd be able to have the interview rearanged for other day I'll find out tomorrow.
With regards to your post Malanole I am registered with every single agency available including the one you mentioned but it is very slow at the moment also I have good administrative expirience (I used to work in a bank) I just cannot get anything at the moment.
I will post my SOA some time tomorrow.
