Any experts with Word 2000?

Hi,

I have had Word 2000 for five years. For some unknown reason, during the last few weeks, when I am trying to type text the cursor will suddenly disappear and I can no longer type. I have to click my mouse back on the section of text to continue typing. As you can imagine, I am often typing heaps of text only to find none of it is on the screen. I have looked through all the options and unless I have missed something nothing seems to stop this happening. Also it is not a save feature as I have all these turned off. I appreciate any help,

This could happening for many reasons,
one is with a low spec PC/Laptop what are you using ??

Could be that 'wraparound' has been disabled, or you have input some macros or similar, or simply that your pressing 'insert' when backspacing during corrections.

Thanks, it was the 'wraparound' function being disabled that caused the problem.
