Hi all, my ex wife and i have a loan with G E money its in both names but now she says she can't afford to pay her half of the loan. She says she has declaired herself bankrupt after taking big holidays and leaving work to go on them. The money comes out of my account and she used to pay me her half once a month by cheque. Is there anything i can do to get her half either written off or passed to her. Any help would be gratefull as i am struggleing to pay the full amount.

Hi
Unfortunately, you both legally owed the whole amount to the creditr, until your ex went bankrupt. Now you owe the whole anmount and her liability was removed by the bankruptcy. You might want to talk to her OR and ask if he is making any payment to creditors. if not they can chase you for the whole lot.
If you check the Insolvency regsiter, you can find out who to contact. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
