Hows everyone doing today? I find weekends to be the hardest point - my BF has just left for the week (i only see him weekends) and a BIG sized galaxy bar would make me feel so much better right now :(

Um...:o I'm not saying! But tomorrow is the start of proper eating well and being good as it's the start of my new pay month. So from tomorrow onwards, it's :A behaviour. Honest!

Ok, so yesterday was pay day, so today I put £50 in a pot (I spent near as darned it to that) and it has started.

I was planning on taking the money for going for coffees with friends out of this as opposed to the rest of my budget. I've decided that if I go for a coffee with a friend that I'm allowed to have a muffin or whatever with it as it's better than eating rubbish all the time, and the nearest thing I have to a social life at the minute.

I met a friend for coffee today and paid for both as she is broker than me until her payday at the end of the month so that's £6.50 down already, £43.50 to go.

And don't worry...I'm so busy for the next three weeks or so that I don't think I'm likely to get the chance to go for coffee at all!

P.S. Got to work yesterday to find that someone higher up the food chain had bought us 2 big boxes of chocolates. Naturally, I had to try one, but I felt really ill yesterday evening so I doubt I'll be trying any more. (I don't blame the chocolates, but hopefully my body will think 'Urgh!' when I look at them, if there are any left when I get back tomorrow.

Hmm...today has not been the trail-blazing day I had been hoping for, money wise or sweet-stuff wise.

First up, I went to the fridge to make a sandwich to take to lunch with me (like any good MSEr), only to find that my brother had snaffled all the sandwich eating supplies last night making his own! Grr! I didn't have time to go get more, so I had to buy lunch. That's £2.99 down. It was a Boots meal deal, so of course a diet coke and low calorie crisps had to be part of that...

...THEN...as I arrived at work for midday, I realised that my late breakfast was not going to keep me going until my break and buying dinner, so I had to buy something to keep me going until then. The cheapest thing I could find to buy was £1.50 for a caramel shortbread (there was no healthy option), so that's £4.49 gone today that I had no intention of spending, and lots of rubbish. Double grr!

Tasty as my mum's fruit salad is, maybe I need something more copious than that and yoghurt on late start days to keep me going until the very late lunch.

I am not amused. *Stamps foot* I need to be really careful now not to slip up any more. And I need to figure out a better tactic for dealing with mid-day starts at work as its a nightmare for my stomach, which quite rightly assumes that it's time to be fed!

Spent 30p on some sweets. Looking back, I didn't even get to eat them at lunch when I really fancied them so they were a total waste. I'm really annoyed with myself. This will not happen again.

This isn't easy is it ? Have been munching on ginger biscuits at work...half a twirl last night after dinner (share with DS2) then ice cream...

Thing is my meals are healthy, usually brekkies are wholemeal toast or banana, salads and fish/chicken for lunches and evening meals. Don't eat red meat, off alcohol. Just wish I didn't graze.

Yeah, the grazing's a killer. I'm generally much better at work, and dangerous if I spend too long at home. I'm trying to stick to three decent meals a day as I find that cuts out a lot of the rubbish, especially if I make a lunch and bring it with me to work so I don't have to buy a lunch and get tempted by little extras to go with it.

On the upside I was sorely tempted by some chocolate on my break from work, but I felt really guilty about yesterday so I didn't. I feel quite proud about that. We shall overcome! ;)

    :hello: Yoo hoo!

It's very quiet in here: it looks like it's just me. Are any of you guys trying the challenege as well?

I spent £1.49 (coke and Starburst as I was dying at work). Very bad. But at least I'm being honest. You guys are not 'fessing up being so quiet! ;)

  • i feel i have a very bad 'addiction' to sugary foods. Am and have always been a healthy weight at around 8 stone but after every single meal, sitting watching tv anything involves me eating sugary cereals, sweets, biscuits. I really really need to stop!
hopefully this will help a little bit and help my diet too!
