I can feel my self resolve weakening today. Not had the best of mornings, and a chocolate bar would be nice right about now....Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Eaten a few Haribo today. Very bad! But there will be no chocolate...small steps!
Had a bar of chocolate and a small bottle of coke last night as my 'final fling' before healthy eating etc starts properly. I just need to make sure there is no Haribo tomorrow. Thinks I'll have a to try a period of cold turkey before reintroducing a small amunt of choc to the diet so I don't feel uber-deprived. Need to get blood sugar levels on a more even keep before doing that, though.
Like the idea of the posters: might do something similar when I've done the maths r.e. how much I've spent in the the past month, how much that is in a year etc. If Icould be bothered to figure out how many calories I've consumed, THAT would be a real eye-opener! :eek:Please call me 'Pickle'

Hey Pickle if you look on the side there is a tool called The De-motivator. It can tell you how much you spend in a year, how long it takes to earn it and what it costs over your working life! Scary reading!! Thankfully it doesn't do the calories lol!
I hope you are feeling better slowlyfading! I know what you mean though, sometimes a bar of choc just makes the world a better place! Best i can do at the moment is a cyber hug:grouphug:
Must admit I have been a bad girl! I had half of the bar that I passed to my friend to keep away (he offered the meanie lol) and I have had a bottle of coke!! :oBut I have put it down in my spending diary!:T
I will stay strong now I promise ( pie crust promise lol):p:DIf I am laughing, then I don't understand!!

Hello again guys,
So I've cracked: I'm sat here watching Friday night TV. I don't get paid until Monday, but I thought I might as well add up the total I've spent so far on rubbish this month. Bear in mind I don't get paid until Monday, and this was meant to be for a whole pay month, from payday to payday.
I guestimated that this month I would have spent roughly £25 on sweet rubbish over the month. I also think that I spent less this month than last month as I've been a bit more conscious of this waste of money. This also doesn't include meeting friends for coffee as a social 'event', which is often how I end up meeting certain friends who live too far away to go to their houses (or vice versa), or bought lunches.
Sit down people, you're going to need to. I certainly did...I spent:£96.31
 Oh my word! I literally cannot believe that I have wasted that much cash on bottle of coke, chocolate bars etc.! No wonder I've put on weight! Slap my face with a wet kipper but that is just not funny!  I just can't put enough shocked smileys up!
This is going to change! :mad:Please call me 'Pickle'

Phew! That total just seemed too ridiculously high so I recalculated the total and checked it several times. It now comes to £46.81, which is in one way much more reasonable, and in another, still outrageous.
In my partial defence, I work in an expensive shopping centre so if I need/want anything on a break I have to pay a premium for it, but that's still no excuse: I can forward plan and say 'no'. After that shock, I think I will be doing a lot of that from now! :eek:Please call me 'Pickle'

Pickle boy I am glad you re-did the maths!! I thought if yours was that bad then what the heck would mine be like lol!
I think hot chocolate should be allowed too slowlyfading as you still get the sweet taste but with less calories! Plus I have a jar of healthy living hot choc in my drawer at work so it will hopefully stop me spending money on choc bars instead lol!

You know, I practically DARE someone to come up with a more shocking total than that: the winner can have a virtual chocolate bar!Bear in mind, that doesn't include lunches bought out, or times when I meet friends for a coffee as a stand-alone social occasion when I might buy a coffee and a slice of cake. It's really quite bad!

Was watching the Derren Brown thing last night I said to DS2 that it was lucky DB wan't sending subliminal messages about the need to eat chocolate as we wouldn't know the difference, with that DS2 passed the minstrels to me....
I seem to have a new found love of jammie dodgers at work. However I haven't actually bought anything, so the stash hidey hole is bare. But there is still a need to graze. Seeing as I've given up the alcohol sugar levels are a little crazy in the evening and I'm consuming bucketfuls of tea and hot chocolate.
Definetely cut down on some things...baby steps.DC.
