mcculloch lawn mower ml 533

hi

can any 1 give me any advice on a mcculloch lawn mower ml 533, it wont start when its been running for a bit has to leave to stand for about half an hour v. annoying, also is they any way of getting it not to stall when it hits a big lump of grass? if not is they any technical manuals anywhere. :eek:

    I'm guessing it has a Briggs and Stratton engine which are pretty reliable and good starters.

    Sounds like it needs servicing - you may get away with just cleaning the air filter (probably a bit of sponge) and fitting a new plug. Changing the oil wouldn't go amiss but isn't likely to bee the cause of your problems.

    The only way to avoid stalling it when tackling grass that is way too high is to take it very gently and back off if it sounds like it will be stalling. You could set the height of cut very high to clear long patches and even tilt the mower back to get a very slight nibble at really tall bits. Failing that buy a scythe or some sheep or goats.
