Hi there,

Need some help on the best offer for a hard drive.

I am looking for a 1.5 tb drive for a home pc (sata internal)

I am looking at the ebuyer site and hey have 3, the cheapest being the samsung ecogreen at £72.71.

Can anyone tell me if these are any good.

Need it as a second drive for basic storage, but am after someting very quiet and reasonably fast aswell as I am not sure if 5900 speed is slow or acceptable for running video.

Any help would be appreciated

Any modern hard drive will be more than fast enough for video playback. 5900 looks a very strange spin rate - usually they are 5400 7200 or (occasionally) 10000.

Can't comment on noise level but certainly the faster the spin the noisier the drive is likely to be. If you really want quiet then research on quiet and but on that rather than price.

The Samsung drives are generally very good ive got one of the 1TB F1's and its very quiet. The Ecogreen drives run at a slower RPM but you wont notice a huge difference, 5400 RPM is the same as your average laptop drive
