UKPC - Parking out of Bays

I wonder if someone could help me please, sorry, forgive my ignorance but ive just found this site...
I was given a "ticket" by these little terrors. My crime? i was in quite a largish van and was parked in a car park on a private shopping centre, i wasnt parked in a bay as my vehicle is slighty too wide to get between the lines and i know of people who have been ticketed for going over the marked line.
So i parked on one of the entrance roads to the car parks, no zigzags, no double yellows etc. But realised after when i had been ticketed that this was deemed an offence as id parked next to a dropped kerb. Which expalins so they say why i was ticketed, for causing an obstruction?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as ive written to them twice, and now they tell me that having been assessed, by their team, im still at fault.
Thanks

That's twice more than you needed to.... Any help would be greatly appreciated as ive written to them twice, and now they tell me that having been assessed, by their team, im still at fault.
Road markings in private car parks have no legal significance, and neither do their "tickets" which are just meaningless unenforceable tosh.
Ignore everything they send you from now on, and don't pay them a penny.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
Thanks barge, i feel so much better, i was wondering if they could have nabbed me on the drop kerbed bit, as it was leading to a kind of path for pedestrians to walk along thru the car park, and also when i wrote back to them, they would obviously know i was the driver.0

Wow!! Speak of the devil, i had a letter from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd today, so rang them to tell them im in dispute with UKPC and the lady on the end of the phone tried her best to get me to pay, says they have 6 photos of evidence against me, she said id parked next to a dropped kerb which was a crossing point for pedestrians, i said there are no double yellow lines to say i cant park there, she says they dont need to, it clearly states on signs, parking within bays only. So they would pursue me to court. Told me to seek legal advice if i wasnt going to pay etc.. I asked her if her company was in the same group as UKPC.. she said no... just took over the debts that i will Have to pay0

Just ignore. You have made the mistake though of contacting them. The only court they can take you to is the Civil one and they have to prove that some sort of material loss has been suffered. Just by parking in the "wrong" area doesn't mean that any loss has been suffered. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
