why isnt my cd working?

im trying to setup linksys router on my laptop and whenever i put the cd inside the laptop..as soon as it reaches 14 % of ''checking computer settings''

i come up with something like this...i called up linksys and they told me to change the cd so i did and it works fine on my computer but just not the laptop

what could be the problem?

Why not configure it with interent explorer rather than using the cd's setup wizard?

i cant find anything on the linksys website..theres a 'drivers' link but its not letting me click on that

Looks like the installer package may be corrupt

Clean the cd, alternatively, (if you can) go to the linksys website and see if there is any software to download

i installed the cd onto my computer and the cd was working fine before i restored my laptop..

could there be a fault with the cd rom drive because my dvds seem to be causing problem too (just on the laptop)

ok the cd rom drive is working 100 % perfectly..


but still im having issues with that 1 linksys cd no matter how many times i change the cd and get a new 1...
?
