Fridge freezer faulty?

Hi all,
Can anyone give advice on this??
I live in North Staffordshire, my brother is an electrician in Wolverhampton area. When I moved into my house he bought me a fridge freezer from an independent dealer in Birmingham (quite far from me) and as they had a job in my area, used the work van to deliver it to me (and a favour from his colleague) The frdge has a years warrenty on it
Now, the freezer part just keeps stopping and starting, ice-cream is never fully frozen. It has defrosted twice. I called the shop who said I have to take it to them for an engineer to look at it. I don't drive, it is miles from me. It was delivered as a favour and just because my brother happened to be in the area that week.
What can I do??
