Does you Company already have a recognised union? If not it will depend on your field of work =, e.g. Drivers join the transport arm of Unite and shop workers join USDAW. Go on the TUC website. Though your employer may not recognise the union you join you willl still be able to access their support and advice.
Surf the TUC site and it will give you good steer.
