Ticketline failed to send tickets!

I bought my graduation ticket from Ticketline a few months ago. A week before the event, they sent us all an email saying that the tickets we'd previously been sent were now "invalid" and that new ones would be sent to us.
Only Ticketline never sent me my ticket.
In my panic of not being able to go to my own graduation(!) I bought a new one (and subsequently paid out ANOTHER £35) and decided to deal with Ticketline after the event.
Today I rang them to sort this mess out, only for them to tell me that it was out of their hands, because the event had passed.
SURELY this is unjust? THEY didn't send me a ticket which I paid for!
PLEASE HELP.

Have they confirmed that they didn't send the ticket, or did they send one that just didn't arrive? The distinction is going to be important in the best way you approach this one. If they didn't send you a ticket that you've paid for, they are obviously at fault and should refund immediately - failing to do so will place them in breach of contract for a start. However, if they sent a ticket which didn't arrive then I'd recommend you start by looking at the terms of sale, which often make reference to lost tickets.0

This will in no way help you at all, I'm just curious. Since when did Ticketline deal with graduation tickets? When I graduated I was issued a maximum of 4 tickets by my University. I couldn't have gotten any extra if I had lost them.0

Why didn't you let them know that you hadn't received the tickets, how could they be expected to do something about it if they never knew??!!
Bit late now is it not?0 -
You should have dealt with ticketline BEFORE the event, and asked them to re-send your ticket via next day before 9am delivery.
How long before the graduation did you buy the second ticket?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
