I am confused about claiming hardship on bank charges.
I have an overdraft and the bank has been charging me £25 a month for 10 yrs for the privalage and also charging me for being overdrawn and then again when they make me overdrawn with charging me, CONFUSED I HAVE BEEN FOR MANY YEARS LOL.
any way i know they owe me big time I'm talking 2-3k owing me, but what i'm not sure about is hardship can i class myself as bieng in hard ship if my husbands wages have been arrested for unpaid council tax (it's the first thing to not get paid if we are struggling in a month). i do not work as i have a baby. I am not in arrears with mortgage or anything else well maybe an old account with british gas but there money grabbers too.
please help as i could do with some luck
i also have had 2 or 3 loans that i'm not sure if they owe me too and payed 2 montgages off in past 5yrs. (if i can claim on all of these i'll be worth a small fortune0

See the FSA Waiver (page 11) here:

But these are only indicative of financial hardship. Unless you have priority debt arrears, such as below, you are unlikely to meet the banks criteria.

    Reduced income/loss of job
Level of priority debt arrears against free income available
Utility arrears such as gas/electricity threat of being cut off
    Mortgage arrears
    Council Tax arrears
    Repossession
Serious health issues both physically and mentally
    Threat of possible suicide
No money for food or rent
