I e-mailed asos last week hoping that if I politley hinted for a discount code they would give me one! This is what i said:

I have just filled up my shopping bag hoping to get 20% off with the discount code I got from Look magazine only to realise it has expired. The total of the contents of my cart comes to £129.75 which is alot of money for me. Could you tell me if there are any other promotions coming up or is there any possibility you could give me a discount code for this order?

On a different subject, it would be great if you had a wishlist feature. When shopping online I find it very usefull to save what I want and go back to it later.

This is what they replied with:

Firstly thanks for choosing ASOS.com for the latest fashions.
I am sorry to hear that your discount code has not worked, after looking through our list of discount codes I can confirm that the discount code ASOSLOOK expired on the 9th March as advertised in Look Magazine.
If you contact the organisation where you obtained this code from they will be able to advise you if it has been updated.
We occasionally advertise discount codes on our website and in our magazines. Please keep watching the website for more details.
Having a wishlist is something asos.com are currently working on, so keep your eyes peeled!
If I can help with anything else, please contact me directly.

I didn't place the order and I refuse to let myself order untill next time there is a discount code - I'd hate to pay 100% for something knowing that if I'd ordered a week or 2 before I could have saved 20%! It's a shame because they have so many things I want to buy!

I totally agree with you felineprincess. as much as i look through asos, i grudge the prices of ALOT of the items. theres a lovely pauls boutique bag that i really want, but i dunno if i should wait a week or two and see if a discount comes up, i doubt it though.

I didnt get a magazine with my last order. do they still do the magazine? because usually that has a discount code in it.

Now you mention it, I haven't had a magazine in ages either. I wonder why they have stopped sending them?

I keep hearing about how much their profits have gone up in the last year, so why can't we have more discount codes? They would get so much more business from me if we got more codes!

Apparently one ASOS employee noted on here that one of the ASOS owners was reported as saying they dont care about losing customers because there are so many more new ones who will buy !!! and thats why they dont give in to discount codes
    disgraceful!!

Yes! I remember that one! I referred to that comment myself a few months ago on here - really is utterly disgraceful.

As a result, I no longer shop with Asos. I mean, not just because of the comment, but generally - they used to do £1 end of season sales, and big discounts, and they offer nothing now - and when they do, it's 50p off a £100 menswear spend or something!

Most other retailers have codes, some are even ongoing, so guess who I am going to shop with? :rotfl:

Thats a terrible attitude to have! If I didn't like their clothes so much I would boycot them completly! Instead I will continue to only buy from them if I have a discount code (and only a decent one, at least 10% off), hopefully if alot of us do this they will see a big difference in sales when they give discounts and give us more!

Apparently there's going to be a 10% code in the April issue of their magazine. I'm sure someone will post it up when it arrives :)

was it not £10? i'm probably wrong. i got the email but can't be bothered to check. it says the mag is in the post...... cheers, ive already bought my bag now!

I don't buy much from asos, just every now and again, usually the asos own brand or the less expensive name brands (like gio goi, firetrap e.c.t) i would NEVER buy anything from their premium section, purely because of the price and it feels like the premium designer stuff outweighs the cheaper stuff. i find it really hard to believe normal people can afford these things?

I sorta new thats how asos would think about their customers, because they are so popular, they have people in america who love the site and buy from them aswell. they are rolling in it that much, yet they don't pay for your returns !!
