Getting married in statutory room at registry so can only choose music for the signing of the register, but having Tom Baxter's Better for that bit :) Struggled with the decision because we also want Yellow by Coldplay and You Are The Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne, but Better was the first one we both loved and so the other two will be in the evening music playlist instead.

For singing the register we are having Frog Chorus. The lady on reception when we phoned up to have it authorised said they have never had it before.

I'll be walking down the aisle to the theme music from the Princess Bride, by Mark Knopfler :)

  • I have never heard what we're having!

At the registry office they have instrumental, acoustic type music locally composed and performed by Manx musicians.

With an engagement of only just over 3 months, that was just one less thing to worry about.

Hope nobody thinks I'm completely heartless.

I walked in to Gift of a Thistle from Braveheart.

Signed the register to For the Love of a Princess and If your not the One both played by Myleene Klass

Walked out to All You Need is Love.

    lol!

We also had music at the start for when our guests were arriving. We just used some of the other tracks from the Myleene Klass album.

Haha that's what I said when my quartet asked what we wanted for the registry signing :rotfl:

I'm walking down the aisle to 'Night and Day' by Cole Porter and we're walking back up again to 'Fly me to the Moon'.

In case you're wondering, I'm sure you're just all on tenterhooks :o, we're having 'When I'm 64' followed by a Beatles medley for the register signing as H2B loves the Beatles.

There's another thread on here somewhere with the same theme if you're looking for more ideas :j

Edited add that we're having show tunes being played while the guests arrive. All by my lovely music teacher's quartet :)
  • To walk into: "Here come the girls" sung by our friend & her husband on guitar

Signing: "One day like this" by Elbow again sung by our friends http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hk2xaeXnxlM

To exit: "Gravity" by Embrace, it's 'our' song
