Microsoft Wireless Laser Keyboard under warranty - help needed PLEASE!

Hi everyone
Please can someone advise me regarding my microsoft keyboard as I am having problems getting it repaired. I bought the keyboard from PC world 23 months ago. It is a set with a keyboard and mouse and it cost £90! I have been using the keyboard for day to day tasks and I have been very happy until recently. I am using XP and office 2007. I paid so much money thinking the keyboard would be reliable and last me a long time. I just want it sorted because I am having to use an old keyboard in the mean time!
Recently the keyboard starting to press the letter 'X' constantly (on it's own accord), meaning I cannot use it! I have tried the obvious and cleaned the keyboard, checking for anything lodged or dirt etc, but found nothing (the keyboard is looked after and in a very good state of repair).
I changed the batteries for new ones and it did stop for 30 minutes (I don't know if it was cleaning the keyboard or new batteries or neither) but again it started to type a page of 'x's without me touching it!
I have carried out the usual searches on the microsoft website, several times, trying the help and support (although difficult because I did not know what terms to search for!)
I spent some time eliminating the issues found on the microsoft website........Still no joy!
I used the questions box on the microsoft UK website to ask a question, stating my problems and asking for help, the person who replied gave me the links to check out- which I did..no joy!
The product is under warranty and not working, I have deadlines to meet and unable to use the wireless keyboard- I am frustrated at searching through all of Microsoft's websites and information and getting nowhere!
I also contacted PC world via email and they have told me nothing of use!
Any help or advice or ideas would be gratefully received. Does anyone know the direct contact for microsoft for products under warranty?
Thanks xxx

Did you buy it from PC World on line or in a store? There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

Your contract is with PC World, so it is them who should be sorting it, not Microsoft. My advice would be to telephone them rather than email. In email they can basically ignore what you asked, but if you're on the phone you can say their solution doesn't help, or that you've tried it etc. Always be polite but firm, never get angry or shout: that doesn't get you very far when they can just hang up on you. (Not saying you would, but it is surprising how many people seem to think shouting is a good idea!)

Give MS a call on 0870 60 10 100, it should be a straight forward process to get sorted out.0

in the local store *
Then take it back. It's under warranty so should be straight forward. You are entitled to a repair or, if it can't be repaired, a replacement or a refund. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
