Latest little saving

Haircut, £8.50 a go, normally once every 4-5 weeks. Bought a pair of clippers at the weekend for £16, so we can do it for free now! Will have broke even in two months and save that bit extra every month going forward. It's also quite a nice bonding experience as my wife and daughter hover over me shaving my head. It must be quite a nice scene to observe - like the Attenborough documentaries where the baboons are grooming each other (ok, so they pick fleas off each other too, but you get the idea)

Nice thought ! LOLEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0

Well it's a big leap of faith too...makes you question how much the wife loves you and whether she would give you a bald stripe just for a laugh. I had anxiety dreams the night before where I walked away looking like bobby charlton0

I've gone the other way - not had my hair cut in about 18 months now. Saved me a fortune on haircuts, esp at Cambridge prices.

i did 'miss bits' the very first time: went into work the following day, and junior school kids really took the mick out of me - and they didn't even address me as 'sir'

I've been shaving my head for a few years now. You'll also notice another saving - shampoo! I buy cheap supermarket stuff because there really is no need to have multi-vitamins in what amounts to liquid soap now.GreyPilgrim wrote:Haircut, £8.50 a go, normally once every 4-5 weeks. Just don't try what I did. After reading a comment on the OS board I decided to water down my cheapo shampoo. Not only did I need to use twice as much shampoo after that, but my head squeaked!!! :rotfl:0
