Kwik fit charge around £45 I think.

aye - again they only re-gas the system.
If your selling your car and just want to show it working well then this is an option.

To get the job done properly your looking at £80-120 as your vehicle will be hooked up to the vacuum system for a good hour easily and they will check all the pipes/pumps/seals as well.

If done properly you'll be sound for about 4 years which is around the life expectancy of the system performing well. A quick re-gas may last you from 6-24 months before you need to do it again.

Don't want to cross you Viper, but an air con recharge takes about half an hour - and if we suspect a leak, we will put dye in the system and ask the customer to run the system for about a fortnight and come back for a check up if it stops working or not working that well.

We charge £50 inc VAT for a recharge, £10 inc VAT for the dye. And the check up, nothing. If there is a leak, the dye will show it, we'll cost the job, be it a seal or a pipe or whatever, and book the customer in to fix it if they so wish.
