Thanks all for your thoughts,

The OH and I had a chat last night (we don't live together) and I explained how I felt about what happened and my money situation in general. We're seeing each other tonight and we're going to sit down and sort out a social & clothing budget that we're both going to stick to. He earns a lot more than I do (about 5 times!) and so doesn't think before he spends (he has no debt and a good amount of savings). He even suggested a joint spending account so I didn't feel like he was giving me money :eek: Bit scary!
It seems to me that although you may have told friends and family about your money problems they do tend to ignore it, and I hate banging on about it (I think that's why this site's so successful, it's somewhere to let it all out!)
