Overcharged at Asda

The other day I was stood behind a women who had been overcharged and she asked what their policy was on giving out giftcards because she hadn't been offered one on this occasion.
The customer services lady told her that the giftcard was given out when a customer had noticed the mistake after they had left the store and had to make a special trip back for the refund. The giftcard was given out because of the inconvience of having to return to the store. If you notice the mistake before you have left then you just get a refund and not a giftcard. Having said all that the women went on so much that they gave her a giftcard as well!
The moral of the story is - moan alot or leave the store unload your shopping into the car and then go back in. :rotfl:0 -

If I was that woman in front of you, I'd make sure I got the card as well! :rotfl:0 -
Our customer service girls at adsa (Kendal) are very good. They always point out that if the misprice is their fault, you always get a 2 pound card. If it's your fault (i.e. picking up the wrong sized packet on an offer) then they just replace it with the one on offer and refund the required amount, but no gift card.

I got a £2 gift card today, but thats because I took back some minced beef which was gonna have for spag bol tonite but it smelt funny and was on the turn (even though in fridge). the CS told me it was their policy to give £2 for the inconvenience caused to me bringing it back.0

What happens if I am overcharged?
If you have been overcharged or undercharged in any of our stores we will gladly refund the difference (if you have been overcharged) and give you a £2 Gift voucher for each product you have been mischarged for.

It would be nice if the Asda staff read their own policys though as most of them don't seem clued up on this. :mad:I hate migraines.0
