landrover ppi

Hi My husband took out finance with landrover 5 years ago. They already conned him by saying he could hand the car back after 3 years but when he tried they said he didnt have that type of agreement and he had to refinance a car he didnt want and couldnt sell.

Anyway, when he originally took out the loan he was employed, when he refinanced he was self employed and after the business took a nosedive earlier this year he temporarily signed on. He contacted them to claim on the PPI and they said he had to be unemployed for 6 months to claim, and had to keep paying the payments til then!! he just gave up and signed off after 3 months anyway but I think he has a good case for missold PPI, does anyone have experience if this with Landrover would he have a good chance of getting it back?

Thanks

    Hi there

I agree with you to have a go here with the reasons you have stated on your post.

Write to them and do not worry about writing the amounts, but just give them your reasons, they have 8 weeks to respond in full, keep at them until they resolve in your favour, or until they issue you with the final decision which should also enclose details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS), you should be able to take your complaint to these if your not happy with the outcome of the final decision and suggest as well to post by recorded delivery - as this is your proof of posting.

You actually write to the ones who sold and arranged this finance.

For more information, check Martin's link below, you will find templates, you can use them if you want to or as a guide with using your own words and with your reasons, there is also a mis selling checklist as well, check them in case any of them reasons occur to you as well.

Good luck and please keep us posted.;)
