Thanks very much Martin! Saved 50% on car insurance!

I received my car insurance renewal the other day and it was a saving of £7 per month on the previous year, and at £465 for the year, I was sure I would do better.
Using your guide found me a much better price at RAC of £240 for the exact same policy and car! Unbelievable how different this was. I phoned Norwich Union to cancel (or atleast thats what I said but was more interested in seeing if they'd match it). Anyway to cut a long story short, they said they'd match it to £240, but if I wanted to pay monthly instead of annually, it would be another £18. I was happy to pay this £18 extra to be able to pay in instalments instead of upfront, and even with this extra cost, it still means my insurance this year is going to be only £258 (instead of £465!!!). A saving of over £200, and nearly 50%!
Thanks very much Martin! And I would highly recommend everyone else at renewal to follow Martin's guide!

That's great, Masonsuk. I'll move this to the 'How much have you saved?' board for you so people from the other boards will see your post too.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

I got mine down from £1050 a year to £495 a year using Confused.com!No longer visiting these forums.0

I have used confused.com before and it did undercut many insurance companies for a couple of years, I then went through a cashback site and got even better deal than confused.com (when I took into account the cashback)0
