Fragrances Ordered - Not Yet Received?

Hi
PLEASE READ THE UPDATE BELOW THIS MESSAGE, THANKS
I was just wondering if you could give me some advice in advance, as I'm preparing for the worst here
I ordered three fragrances 7 days ago, from a company called Fragrance
. I did my research, and Google shopping result reviews gave them 4.5 starts, pretty good!
Anyway, it looks like I probably didn't do enough research on this company...they promise to dispatch orders within 24 hours, and delivered soon. It's been 7 days and I've not heard anything from them!
Some of you may think there's no reason to panic just yet and I should contact them. Well I've just dropped them an email now (they have no phone number), and will wait a few days for a reply.
In the meantime, I dug up some more reviews of this company and it seems like people have had similar experiences to me. Where they have not received their goods or a refund.
I'm extremely impatient when it comes to things like this. If I pay my money upfront, I expect a good service. So I would like to know what you think is the best route to go down if I don't receive my order and hear from them..
It's a British company, Ltd, so I know I could complain to the trading standards.
Would it also be a good idea to get in touch with my bank and see what they can do. I paid via a debit card.
Anyway, I'm going to try and wait for a response for a few days. The dilemma is these fragrances were gifts and I needed them by the end of this week. I doubt that will happen!
Thanks in advance for all your responses

UPDATE:
I've just read their terms & conditions and they don't charge until they ship the goods.
Well I've just checked my bank balance, and they haven't taken anything.
Can anyone please tell me what the best way to cancel this order is?
I'd rather not do it through them. Would it be good enough to simply ring my bank and tell them not to give money to this company?
Thanks0 -

NO, if you want to cancel, you have contact them directly, by either telephone or email...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Thank you so much for the reply..
I understand that, but what if I email them and they don't reply (you can tell the service is not good), and by that time they already dispatch the goods and charge my card?
Would I have any rights in this situation?
I need the fragrances by the end of this week, and I can order off another site now with next day delivery. The last thing I want to do is pay for two sets of goods!
Could you clarify?
Cheers0 -
As suspected, they haven't responded to my email
I've sent an email cancelling the order. Is it ok if I also instruct my bank not to give them any payment if they request it? What could happen if I do this?
Can someone plase give me some quick advice. Thanks

Please tell us the name of the company. I'm sure other people will have dealt with them and perhaps be able to help.0

Hi, it's been well over a week since I ordered and not heard anything from them.
The company is called Fragrance Online.
For all I know they could be going through financial difficulties and all sorts. They still haven't responded to either email.
If I were to instruct my bank not to give any money to this company, does anyone who I need to ring? I'm with Barclays.
Thanks - would really appreciate some advice on this, as I don't want them taking any money out of my account.0 -
Any suggestions at all - not heard anything from them.
Is it ok to go ahead and to instruct my bank not to ever give them anything?0 -
Either cancel your card that you used to make the order so that they can't charge it or, if they do charge you, then ask your bank to do a chargeback on the grounds of not receiving the goods. Just out of interest, are you sure they haven't responded but their email has gone into a junk box or spam folder?0

I think that if the card is cancelled the charge will just be transferred to the card that replaces it. That's the way it has worked for me in the past, when I've lost a card and asked the bank to cancel it and replace it.0 -

The website says you should send cancellation requests to cancellations@fragranceonline.co.uk. Is that the address you used?
The website also says:
"
MoneySaving Expert
Also listed on moneysavingexpert.com. Martin Lewis has recognized our fantastic deals and you can now use the new MetaShopBot to find our cheap perfumes
"
So maybe you should ask Martin Lewis what he thinks.
But since apparently they have not charged you for anything yet, it may just be down to incompetence. Annoying though.0
