Ok,
This is sort of a mini rant and I already know the outcome but I want to now why mobile phone companies expect you to stay loyal to them when they offer you the same product but charge you more?
I am due a phone upgrade so after some looking around found a deal and phone I like with a well known online retailer and they are offering the specified phone at £19.95 with the deal I liked so thought ok if I go direct to vodafone it will possibly save them money through not having to pay third party and I might get a better deal but no Vodafone would like £80 for said phone on same contract etc.
I don't understand how a third party can offer a deal with a phone cheaper than the network operator? any ideas?
In the end I think I will just order with third party and understand they need to draw in new customers but if an existing customer spots a deal then why not match it? what are anyone elses thoughts on why this is?

You will probably find that after you have told them you are off, you will get a phonecall from the retentions department who will offer you the same deal for the better price.0
