A long shot - advice please

We were buying a house and due to exchange contracts, had paid £550 for survey etc and other fees and they pulled out 1 day before exchange and would not refund the money (yes not legally obliged too), we sold our house 2 days before and they knew this and it left us high and dry. Anyway, we have a new house now and have moved in, but here is the annoying bit, they pulled out for personal reasons and would not explain, it was obvious they were splitting up and probably thought they would give it another go and hey presto, they have put the house back on the market and now it has sold again( currently under offer|) !! This was my dream house and you would think the same estate agents would of said as we already had a survey done and tried to recoup some of the costs. Do I have any comeback on the estate agents or the sellers, it is so annoying - the estate agents did not even phone us to see if we were still interested!!! Long shot I know, any advice?

  • You have no comeback on anyone. Would you really want to deal with either EA or vendor a second time? Would they pull out of sale a second time?

You have a new house, and thus in a way a new life. You have physically "moved on", so do the same mentally. Enjoy your new home.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
