Did anybody read the Express today, re the government ripping off pensions again, is this just political trouble making or something that we should all be concerned about, any pension experts out there got the true facts about this?

Old story ( the cut in the SERPS inheritance rate was decided around 15 years ago IIRC!) The idea is that the less well paid will get more S2P in future,but that this will balanced by the re-link of the basic state pension to earnings from 2012.
Much more importnat changes are coming in to the state pension next year and thse are very positive for pretty well everyone.Trying to keep it simple...
